I am a long-standing fan of Paint Shop Pro, and owe a lot to people who devote their free time, enthusiasm and energy to writing and sharing tutorials on how to recreate all their fabulous stuff. Thanks to them, I have now become an advanced user of the program, and enjoy in turn the delights of computer graphic creation.
Usually when I create graphics using tutorials, I always try to do my own stuff while retaining the original spirit, as playing copycat is not my purpose. Thus I often make experiments and change many things on the go, and therefore I constantly need to update the instructions for later use. After a couple of years, I started having a fairly large collection of those, including all the graphics I had done, and decided it would be much convenient to organise it all as a local website for easier and quicker reference. There came JAlbum and Chris Twist's wonderful Mirage Skin.
This album was never meant for publication (for obvious reasons since there would be too many copyrighted materials to request permission for) but Chris was so enthusiastic about what I showed him that he insisted, and I finally agreed to make a sample album to share with you. All the graphics included here have been designed by myself without the help of any tutorial, but my own inspiration. Who knows, I might publish my own tuts in due time when I have designed enough -- and have a proper internet connection! I have just replaced the lengthy instructions by some additional comments that you may or may not wish to read. The purpose is to showcase how one can extend the basic functionalities of JAlbum.
